As an Enterprise Systems Engineer at Meta, you will:
- Build, scale, and secure Meta's corporate infrastructure, focusing specifically on the Linux environment.
- Combine open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the business.
- Work in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well together.
- Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger facebook.com infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.
- Be the final escalation point for issues related to Enterprise Linux systems.
- Produce systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to take on operations.
- Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
- Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
- 24 months of experience in:
- Linux
- Scripting and programming in any one of the following languages: Python, PHP, C/C++, or Java
- Software and application development
- System architecture, performance tuning concepts, and web applications
- Utilizing relational database technologies
Meta offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $192,516/year to $229,900/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
