Description For Application Engineer, Salesforce

Meta's People Engineering Team is seeking an experienced Application Engineer specializing in Salesforce to join their enterprise applications team. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, focusing on building transformative products that serve Meta's employees and business groups.

The position requires deep expertise in Salesforce development and enterprise application architecture, with the responsibility to design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure systems. You'll work closely with product managers to drive strategic value through custom applications built on both Salesforce and Meta's internal software stack.

As an Application Engineer, you'll take technical ownership of projects, manage resources, and ensure compliance with change management policies. The role demands strong experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs, including SOAP, REST, Bulk API, and Metadata API, as well as proficiency in Visualforce/Lightning Web Components/Apex and modern JavaScript frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in business application development, with a strong background in enterprise software development. Additional valuable skills include Platform Developer II certification, experience with MuleSoft, and expertise in data management including SQL and RDBMS technologies.

  • 3+ years of experience in Visualforce/Lightning Web Components/Apex incorporating JS frameworks like React, Bootstrap or Angular
