Responsibilities For ASIC Engineer, SoC Architect
- Work on modeling, performance analysis and architecture definition of Machine Learning ASICs
- Map Data Center workloads to heterogeneous ASICs containing multiple programmable processors and hardware accelerators
- Perform detailed calculations for computation throughput, memory bandwidth and latency evaluations
- Identify and analyze workloads and micro-benchmarks on simulation and emulation platforms
- Evangelize architectural solutions and mentor architecture team members
- Collaborate with RTL design, Design Verification, Firmware/Software development teams
- Work with software and firmware teams to ensure ASIC meets performance goals
Requirements For ASIC Engineer, SoC Architect
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with Computer Architecture concepts including microprocessor architecture, memory systems, on-chip interconnection networks
- Programming skills in C or C++ with hardware algorithm mapping knowledge
- 12+ years of experience in defining and delivering high performance ASICs into production
- Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Knowledge in power/performance tradeoffs, digital signal processing, ML networks, ML frameworks such as Pytorch (preferred)
