Meta is seeking a Building Systems Engineer to support their ambitious NetZero commitment for direct operations and value chain by 2030. This role is crucial in the Design, Engineering, and Construction (DEC) business unit, focusing on implementing decarbonization strategies for Meta Data Centers. The position involves developing and operationalizing strategies for material replacements, manufacturing processes, and documenting progress in data center design and construction practices.

Responsibilities For Building Systems Engineer
- Leverage and enhance tools and processes to improve delivery and communication for Net Zero program
- Work with key project team members to ensure alignment among all internal stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional programs covering internal teams
- Provide hands-on program management from project conception to implementation
- Manage dependencies and handoffs effectively
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams
- Identify and quantify risks, develop mitigations
- Report and drive alignment and decisions from leadership
- Communicate complex technical content to diverse stakeholders
Requirements For Building Systems Engineer
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Program Management, Architecture, sustainability or Engineering
- 3+ years experience related to decarbonization and/or Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs)
- Experience with carbon reduction and removal strategies
- Experience evaluating, defining and improving end-to-end processes
- Experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating with stakeholders
- Experience delivering complex projects aligned with corporate goals
- Experience influencing stakeholders and partner teams
- Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience
- Experience with highly technical building types
