Responsibilities For Critical Facility Engineer
- Perform hands-on operations and maintenance of physical and administrative operations tasks
- Complete work order requests in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Maintain technical knowledge regarding data center infrastructure and operations
- Respond to data center facility emergencies using Meta procedures
- Inspect equipment, buildings, safety routes and grounds
- Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend system upgrades
- Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with Meta standards
- Assist in scheduling and supervising vendors during maintenance
- Provide recommendations for operations improvements
- Work on shift schedule including nights and holidays
- Operate remote equipment and monitor system alerts in control room environment
Requirements For Critical Facility Engineer
- 5+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or technical maintenance
- Associate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years experience or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience
- Ability to walk job site areas of flat and uneven terrain
- Ability to work at varying heights and from ladders
- Physical capabilities including lifting 45 pounds or more
- Ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods
