Description For Data Engineer, Product Analytics

As a Data Engineer in Product Analytics at Meta, you'll work cross-functionally with software engineering, data science, and product management to optimize growth, strategy, and experience for our 3 billion plus users, as well as our internal employee community. You'll see a direct correlation between your work, company growth, and user satisfaction. You'll work with some of the brightest minds in the industry and have a unique opportunity to solve interesting data challenges with efficiency and integrity at a scale few companies can match.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing data warehouse plans for products to solve well-scoped problems
  • Identifying data needs and implementing logging for business problems
  • Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data scientists
  • Ensuring data privacy, security, compliance, quality, and operations
  • Designing, building, and launching new data models and visualizations
  • Implementing optimized data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
  • Supporting existing processes and implementing optimized solutions
  • Defining and managing SLAs for data sets

You'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of work experience in data engineering
  • Experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language

Preferred qualifications include experience with data processing automation, data quality, data warehousing, data governance, business intelligence, data visualization, data privacy, and working with terabyte to petabyte scale data.
