Responsibilities For Data Scientist
- Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, and time series
- Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key business metrics
- Create and validate algorithm and statistical models
- Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business
- Work closely with Product or Engineering and Operations Teams to proactively create rule and manage decisions
- Prioritize leads so that the teams work on the most valuable cases
- Make business recommendations to stake holders based on data analysis
Requirements For Data Scientist
- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Experience performing quantitative analysis including data mining on highly complex data sets
- Knowledge of statistical or mathematical software including R, SAS, or MATLAB
- Experience with applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing, in an industry setting
- Experience with machine learning techniques
- Experience with large-scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems
- Knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques including clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics
