Description For Digital Design Engineer

Meta's Reality Labs (RL) is at the forefront of delivering Meta's vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). This role is part of the Reality Labs Custom Silicon Accelerator team, focusing on developing IPs for Graphics, Vision, Imaging, Audio, Compression, and more. The team works on breakthrough technologies in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and human body mapping.

As a Digital Design Engineer, you'll be working on custom silicon development that powers next-generation AR & VR devices. The role involves creating hardware solutions where real and virtual worlds seamlessly integrate. You'll be contributing to ASIC digital µArchitecture, working on low-power rendering hardware accelerators, and collaborating with architects to implement cutting-edge algorithms in hardware.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $142,000 to $203,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. You'll be joining a team that looks at the entire technology stack, from transistors through architecture, firmware, and algorithms. Responsibilities For Digital Design Engineer

  • Contribute to ASIC digital µArchitecture and design for low-power rendering hardware accelerator
  • Assist performance/power analysis of the design and help meet the power and performance targets
  • Work with architects to map algorithms onto the hardware
  • Support hand-off and integration of blocks into larger SoC environments
  • Work across disciplines, brainstorm big ideas, build new methodologies

Requirements For Digital Design Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Hardware Design Engineer for production silicon shipped in volume
  • Knowledge of Physical Design and Low Power implementation
  • Experience in IP Silicon development
  • Experience in digital design µArchitecture, RTL coding
  • Experience with at least 1 procedural programming language such as C, C++, or Python
