Description For Digital Design Engineer

Meta's Reality Labs (RL) is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to join their cutting-edge team focused on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies. This role is integral to developing custom silicon solutions that power next-generation AR & VR devices.

The position involves working with a world-class group of researchers and engineers to implement and optimize low-power machine learning accelerators and state-of-the-art SoCs. You'll be part of the Machine Learning ASIC Design and µArchitecture team, contributing to groundbreaking work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, and sensors.

As a Digital Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for ASIC digital µArchitecture design, performance/power analysis, and machine learning hardware implementation. The role requires extensive experience in hardware design, with opportunities to work on projects that will shape the future of how our real and virtual worlds interact.

Meta offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $173,000 to $249,000 annually, plus bonus and equity opportunities. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and requires 8+ years of experience in hardware design engineering.

Responsibilities For Digital Design Engineer

  • Contribute to ASIC digital µArchitecture and design for low-power machine learning hardware accelerator
  • Assist performance/power analysis of the design and help meet the power and performance targets
  • Work with architects to map Machine learning algorithms onto the hardware
  • Support hand-off and integration of blocks into larger SOC environments
  • Work across disciplines, brainstorm big ideas, build new methodologies

Requirements For Digital Design Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a Hardware Design Engineer for production silicon shipped in volume
  • Experience in digital design µArchitecture, RTL coding
  • Experience in Machine Learning IPs Silicon development
  • Experience with at least 1 procedural programming language (C, C++, Python etc.)
  • Knowledge of Physical Design and Low power implementation
