Documentation Engineer / Technical Writer

Meta is seeking a Technical Writer for their Central Accessibility team to lead documentation efforts for accessibility best practices and tooling. The position involves working closely with accessibility subject matter experts to create and maintain high-quality documentation for designers and software engineers. The role encompasses documenting accessibility best practices across mobile and desktop platforms, maintaining internal tool documentation, and developing training materials.

As a Documentation Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring content quality, accuracy, and discoverability. You'll need to be proficient with authoring tools and technologies, including content management systems, XML, HTML, and Markdown. The role requires experience in technical documentation specifically targeted at designers and developers.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in instructional design or technical documentation, with knowledge of accessibility standards like WCAG. You'll be working in Meta's Enterprise Engineering division, contributing to their mission of building technologies that connect people and communities.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $143,000 to $200,000 annually, plus bonus and equity opportunities.
