Description For DSP Software Engineer

Meta is seeking a DSP Software Engineer to develop software for consumer devices, including speakers, AR and VR headsets. The role involves contributing to projects from concept to product, analyzing, designing, developing, and debugging real-time AR and VR audio algorithms and Android systems. You'll work on audio drivers, firmware, and AOSP layers, as well as develop novel systems and signal processing code. Collaboration with research and product teams is essential to deploy new technologies and improve audio quality across various platforms. The position offers the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Key responsibilities include: • Developing software for consumer devices, including AR/VR headsets and speakers • Contributing to projects from concept to product • Analyzing, designing, developing, and debugging real-time AR/VR audio algorithms and Android systems • Developing audio drivers, firmware, and AOSP layers • Creating novel systems, firmware, and signal processing code • Collaborating with research and product teams to deploy new technologies • Improving audio quality across desktop, mobile, and web endpoints

Qualifications: • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 3+ years of experience in C++, real-time audio, integrating and shipping audio algorithms, developing software systems for real-time environments, and problem-solving/optimization

Responsibilities For DSP Software Engineer

  • Develop software for consumer devices, including speakers, AR and VR headsets
  • Contribute to projects from concept to product
  • Analyze, design, develop and debug real-time AR and VR audio algorithms and/or Android systems
  • Develop audio driver, audio firmware or audio AOSP layer
  • Develop novel systems, firmware, and signal processing code

  • Identify areas of performance, quality and reliability improvement for audio quality across desktop, mobile and web endpoints

Requirements For DSP Software Engineer

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in C++, including use of C++11 features
  • 3+ years of experience in real-time audio
  • 3+ years of experience integrating, debugging, and shipping audio algorithms and technologies
  • 3+ years of experience developing software systems including audio software for games or other real-time environments
  • 3+ years of problem-solving and optimization experience
