Description For Electrical Engineer Intern (Masters/PhD)

Meta is seeking a talented Electrical Engineering Intern to join their Wrist Wearables team, focusing on shaping the future of neural input wrist wearables. This exciting internship opportunity, lasting 12-16 weeks, is perfect for Masters or PhD candidates in Electrical Engineering or related fields.

The role involves working on cutting-edge technology, specifically exploring reliable methods for on/off wrist detection and tightness measurement. You'll be designing innovative circuits for wrist wearables, analyzing trade-offs, and implementing hardware solutions. The position offers hands-on experience in circuit design and the chance to work with cross-functional teams on next-generation wearable technologies.

As an intern, you'll be immersed in EMG Wristband architecture and hardware design, developing test plans, and executing validation procedures. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with electrical test lab equipment, circuit design, and signal processing. Knowledge of Machine Learning and high-speed communication interfaces is a plus.

Responsibilities For Electrical Engineer Intern (Masters/PhD)

  • Become familiar with EMG Wristband architecture, hardware design
  • Deep dive into operational theory of circuits, power electronics, and/or signal integrity
  • Develop test plans, execute validation, and publish findings to team
  • Partner with team peers for development of a new module

Requirements For Electrical Engineer Intern (Masters/PhD)

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with electrical test lab equipment (e.g. Oscilloscope, Analyzers, DMM, Power Supply, etc.)
  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware issues at board level
  • Experience with circuit design and strong analog fundamentals
  • Experience with algorithms and signal processing
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment
