Description For Electrical Engineer Intern, Mixed Reality (BS/Masters)

Meta Reality Labs is at the forefront of building the next evolution in social technology through augmented and virtual reality. As an Electrical Engineering Intern in the Metaverse Prototyping Team, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for rapidly building and iterating polished high-fidelity prototypes and development platforms.

The role involves hands-on work with circuit design, layout, bring-up and debug as part of prototype and concept development. You'll collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Research and Development, and Industrial Design teams to accelerate product development across the Metaverse hardware organization.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, particularly in power management and digital circuit design. You'll work on various power validation projects, design power measurement tools, and develop GUI interfaces to improve engineer productivity. The position requires both technical expertise and the ability to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities For Electrical Engineer Intern, Mixed Reality (BS/Masters)

  • Help on various power validation/peak measurement for different options
  • Design power slamjack to replace e-load
  • Validate the new highspeed power measurement tools
  • Develop homemade power tool GUI interface for engineers

Requirements For Electrical Engineer Intern, Mixed Reality (BS/Masters)

Python
  • Currently pursuing Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with LDO & DC/DC converters, power management methods, and analog design
  • Experience with microcontrollers, digital circuit design and communications protocols
  • Experience with mixed-signal board-level design
  • Hands-on experience with debugging equipment
  • Experience with Altium or Cadence design tools
  • Experience with Python for scripting and GUI design
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment
