Meta is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer to join their Leased Data Center Facility Operations team. This role is crucial for maintaining and operating critical systems in Meta's leased data centers, which serve as the foundation for their software operations. The position requires extensive experience in electrical generation, distribution, cooling technologies, and fire protection systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of data center facilities, performing maintenance, responding to emergencies, and acting as a liaison between Meta and landlord operations teams. They will need to demonstrate strong technical expertise in facility management while maintaining high efficiency and minimal disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities For Leased Critical Facility Engineer

  • Perform all maintenance to ensure the highest level of efficiency without disruption
  • Accurate and timely completion of work order requests
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationship with internal clients
  • Respond to facility emergencies
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with Meta Safety Policy
  • Regularly inspect buildings, grounds and equipment
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend system upgrades
  • Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs
  • Work with vendors and contractors
  • Liaison between Meta and Landlord's operations teams
  • Host monthly coordination meetings with the Landlord
  • Create, review, and implement site specific methods of procedures

Requirements For Leased Critical Facility Engineer

  • 5+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field
  • High school diploma
  • Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work at varying heights and from ladders
  • Ability to walk job site areas of flat and uneven terrain
