Responsibilities For Mechanical Test Engineer (R&D)

  • Partner on cross-functional teams to define mechanical methodologies for components and systems level verification testing
  • Perform core test function of verification across thermal, mechanical stress, optics etc.
  • Design, develop and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructure
  • Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of mechanical tests status and results
  • Manage internal and external resources to execute on test setup development
  • Partner with multiple design teams and deliver documented test results

Requirements For Mechanical Test Engineer (R&D)

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
  • 4+ years experience developing novel testing methods for small form factor electronics
  • 4+ years experience with 3D CAD design modeling (NX, Solidworks)
  • 4+ years experience with Python, Matlab, or equivalent
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements
  • Experience with statistical data analysis
  • Knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes
  • Experience with assembly of electro-mechanical systems
