Description For Network Hardware Engineer

Meta is seeking an experienced Network Hardware Engineer to join their Network Hardware team, focusing on developing cutting-edge infrastructure solutions that impact billions of users worldwide. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, requiring deep knowledge of hardware architecture and ASIC-based systems.

The position involves leading product roadmap definition, driving new system technologies, and developing sophisticated network hardware solutions for Meta's massive infrastructure. You'll work with both internal teams and external partners, while also engaging with the open source hardware community to foster innovation in large-scale infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 6 years of experience in hardware development, particularly in data center systems and PCB design. Strong expertise in hardware architectures and troubleshooting is essential. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and additional experience with network switches, ASIC verification, and cross-functional team leadership.

Responsibilities For Network Hardware Engineer

  • Lead the definition of product roadmap and programs with internal and external partners

Requirements For Network Hardware Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of experience with development and bring-up of data center system equipment
  • 6+ years of experience with PCB design with integrated and discrete circuits
  • 6+ years of experience with hardware architectures and design
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering preferred
  • 7+ years of experience with industry leading designs on network switches
  • 5+ years of experience with designing ASIC verification & bring up hardware
  • 5+ years of experience resolving network issues
