Meta is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to join their Network Investments team, focusing on the implementation and deployment of Greenfield & Brownfield fiber networks. This role represents a unique opportunity to work with one of the world's leading technology companies, directly impacting the infrastructure that powers Meta's global services.
The position offers a comprehensive blend of technical and project management responsibilities, where you'll be instrumental in managing network development projects across North America. You'll work with cutting-edge infrastructure technology while collaborating with diverse teams including Network Development, Network Planning, Edge Network Deployment, Legal, and Finance.
As a Network Implementation Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of network implementation projects, from initial planning to final delivery. This includes coordinating with build partners, managing construction firms, and ensuring project deliverables meet Meta's high standards. The role requires a strategic mindset for risk mitigation and budget management, combined with strong technical knowledge of telecom infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 2 years of project management experience in telecom construction. You'll need to be comfortable with both the technical aspects of network implementation and the soft skills required for stakeholder management. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $50.96/hour to $156,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities For Network Implementation Engineer - Network Investments
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement long-term infrastructure build plans
- Coordinate and manage build partners, engineering and construction firms
- Support tracking and management of ROW and permit acquisition process
- Mitigate risk through pre-planning, planning, and partnership
- Drive Quality Assurance and Quality Control of project management system
- Support the sourcing and management of the supply chain
- Develop Fiber Acceptance and Delivery packages
- Work with finance to develop business plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Travel up to 20% of the time within North America
Requirements For Network Implementation Engineer - Network Investments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Negotiation skills and experience to problem solve
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Experience preparing and presenting quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Detail oriented with experience managing multiple cross-functional tasks
- Understanding of key telecom milestones for delivery of dark fiber routes
- 2+ years of project management experience in Telecom preferred
- Telecom outside and/or inside plant experience preferred
