Description For Partner Engineer, Android

Partner Engineering at Meta is a highly technical team that works with strategic partners to integrate Meta products into mobile platforms, apps, devices, and VR/AR platforms. As a Partner Engineer for Android, you'll bring deep technical knowledge to lead visible initiatives and launch impactful products with mobile partners. You'll work on programs like the Facebook Preloads Program, RL devices initiatives, and the Strategic Alliances program.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Improving the quality of Facebook apps on partners' latest Android devices
  • Collaborating with external partners and internal teams on Android app pre-installation
  • Identifying insights to increase adoption and provide new solutions
  • Using technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with partners
  • Guiding workflow changes and driving solutions
  • Developing long-term strategic plans with partners

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with Android development, SDKs, and libraries
  • Software development experience in Java, NDK(C++), and/or PHP
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the Android preload model and AOSP

Responsibilities For Partner Engineer, Android

  • Improve the quality of Facebook apps on partners' latest Android devices

  • Identify and surface insights using metrics on product usage
  • Understand tools, concepts, and processes related to Facebook family of apps
  • Build productive relationships with partners and resolve complex technical and business needs
  • Guide workflow changes and gain consensus from stakeholders
  • Develop long-term strategic plans with partners
  • Mentor and share knowledge with peers
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time

Requirements For Partner Engineer, Android

Java
PHP
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with Android development and using various SDKs and libraries
  • Software development experience in Java, NDK(C++), and/or PHP
  • Ability to take on complex and ambiguous problems
  • Excellent communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the Android preload model and its product development lifecycle
  • Expertise in AOSP (Android Open Source Platform)
