Meta is seeking a Partner Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems to join their AR/VR team. The position requires deep technical knowledge of Android systems, particularly at the BSP and driver level, combined with strong partnership management skills.

As a Partner Engineer, you'll be responsible for debugging system-level issues, architecting solutions that scale across Meta's family of apps, and serving as a technical expert for both hardware and software aspects. The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $210,000 to $285,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Partner Engineer, Embedded Systems

  • Utilize expertise of the Android landscape to influence product solutions and roadmaps
  • Drive the delivery of new projects and/or systems that increase efficiency and scalability of Meta family of apps & AR/VR apps
  • Debug and troubleshoot BSP and Driver level issues
  • Specify cross-functional building blocks, acting as the technical expert
  • Work closely with partner technical teams to identify issues with their apps and recommend solutions
  • Use technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with partners
  • Cascade updates to executive stakeholders and present at internal and industry events
  • Travel for partner meetings and engagements about 10% of the time

Requirements For Partner Engineer, Embedded Systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in software engineering or partner engineering
  • 6+ years of industry experience in Android
  • Knowledge of Android development and usage various SDKs, Frameworks and libraries
  • Experience owning complex and ambiguous problems
  • Expertise in AOSP (Android Open Source Platform)
  • Experience in SOC architecture
  • Advanced software development experience in Java, NDK(C++) and/or PHP
