Meta is seeking a Partner Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems to join their technical team working with strategic partners. This role focuses on integrating Meta products into mobile platforms, apps, devices, and AR/VR platforms. The position requires deep technical expertise in Android development and embedded systems, combining hardware and software knowledge to drive innovation and solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of industry experience and strong expertise in Android development, AOSP, and SOC architecture. You'll work at the intersection of hardware and software, troubleshooting BSP and driver-level issues while collaborating with partner technical teams to implement solutions that enhance Meta's family of apps and AR/VR applications.

The position comes with competitive compensation ranging from $210,000 to $285,000 annually, plus bonus and equity opportunities.

Responsibilities For Partner Engineer, Embedded Systems

  • Utilize expertise of the Android landscape to influence product solutions and roadmaps
  • Drive the delivery of new projects and/or systems that increase efficiency and scalability of Meta family of apps & AR/VR apps
  • Debug and troubleshoot BSP and Driver level issues
  • Specify cross-functional building blocks and develop concepts for hardware and software aspects
  • Work closely with partner technical teams to identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Build productive relationships with partners and resolve technical and business needs
  • Cascade updates to executive stakeholders and present at internal and industry events
  • Travel for partner meetings and engagements (10% of time)

Requirements For Partner Engineer, Embedded Systems

Java
Kotlin
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in software engineering or partner engineering
  • 6+ years of industry experience in Android
  • Knowledge of Android development and usage various SDKs, Frameworks and libraries
  • Experience owning complex and ambiguous problems
  • Expertise in AOSP (Android Open Source Platform)
  • Experience in SOC architecture
  • Advanced software development experience in Java, NDK(C++) and/or PHP
