Description For Power Electrical Engineer

Our team has the responsibility for taking breakthrough concepts and delivering them to market at scale. We are looking for a self-starter and a team player who can thrive in a dynamic environment. This candidate will own the analog/power design, integration, and validation of overall system-level solutions that push the boundaries of technology. Strong communications and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Create power models to estimate battery day of use, power circuit design, simulation, validation, and characterization across multiple products
  • Generate design documentation, guide schematic capture and power delivery network simulation
  • Characterize power consumption, battery run time, battery usage impact of each NTI project
  • Evaluate and enable innovative solutions for cost, size, efficiency, safety, and reliability
  • Root-cause and solve technical issues during new technology development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with CM/supplier resources

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in low power design and delivery in consumer electronics
  • Knowledge of power conversion characteristics and battery management systems
  • Experience in PCB technologies and leading technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience bringing new technologies to product
  • Experience with bench level power measurements and PDN/PI simulations
  • 5+ years of experience in low voltage power design
  • Experience with wireless charging and system integration
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
