Meta is hiring a Privacy & Data Policy Manager with expertise in youth privacy and sensitive data policy issues to join our Data Governance team. In this role, you'll help shape the company's approach to youth privacy and sensitive data across our suite of products and services.
You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, public policy managers, public affairs managers, external stakeholders, and cross-functional partners across the company. You'll serve as a deep subject matter expert on youth privacy and sensitive data for Meta's global policy team and work with partner teams to evaluate and respond to legislative and regulatory developments, and engage with external experts on these issues.
A strong candidate will be familiar with the most relevant debates on youth privacy, specifically related to age verification and age assurance. Ideally, you should also be familiar with the global legislative landscape as it relates to youth and sensitive data.
You should be a proactive self-starter, a team player, and a creative problem-solver who is able to switch easily between detailed day-to-day consultation and high-level strategic thinking. You should also have an understanding of the stakeholders and perspectives in the broader privacy and youth expert community and be able to use this knowledge to counsel product teams, support policy partners, and assess when additional expert stakeholder engagement will be critical to product and policy development.
