Responsibilities For Product Design Engineer, Reality Labs

  • Lead complex mechanical solutions as a member of a multi disciplinary team
  • Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems
  • Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to shipping product
  • Leverage external teams (CM/JDM/Vendors) to maximize the focus of internal resources
  • Push state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solving complex mechanical problems
  • Ability to travel to external vendors up to 20%

Requirements For Product Design Engineer, Reality Labs

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical design
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Working knowledge in material properties
  • Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, Design of Experiments)
  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques
