Production Engineer

Meta is seeking an experienced engineer to join their Production Engineering team. Production Engineers at Meta are hybrid software/systems/infrastructure engineers who ensure that Meta's services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. They are embedded across Meta's product and infrastructure teams, and are core participants in significant engineering efforts underway in the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning back-end services for fleet management, front-end services like WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook/Meta Ads, and infrastructure components driving Meta's AI advances
• Leading engineering teams by example, mentoring others, and being a force multiplier of impact
• Writing and reviewing code, developing documentation and capacity plans, and debugging complex systems
• Sharing on-call rotation and being an escalation contact for service incidents
• Partnering with top engineers to work on systems used by billions of people worldwide

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of experience in UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals
• 10+ years of coding experience
• Experience with various development languages (Python, C++, Rust, PHP/Hack, Go, Java)
• Knowledge of common web technologies and Internet service architectures
• Experience with infrastructure level applications like Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL
