Production Engineer

Meta (formerly Facebook) is seeking a Production Engineer to join their team in maintaining and scaling their world-class infrastructure. This role combines software engineering and systems engineering to ensure Meta's services run efficiently and reliably.

The position requires a strong technical background with at least 2 years of experience in systems engineering and software development. As a Production Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining critical infrastructure components, debugging complex systems in real-time, and serving as an escalation point for service incidents. You'll work with both back-end data warehouse services and front-end services like Messenger and Newsfeed.

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a technical field and strong experience with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and programming (particularly in Python or C++). You'll need to understand internet service architectures, including load balancing, and have experience with various network protocols and management tools.

Meta offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $158,187 to $200,200 per year, plus bonus and equity opportunities.
