Description For Production Systems Engineer, Foundation Labs

Meta is seeking an experienced Production HW Systems Engineer to join their Foundation Labs team, working on deploying, testing, validating, and debugging new platform hardware before mass production. This role offers the unique opportunity to impact hardware platforms deployed at massive scale within Meta's infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities. You'll be responsible for setting up and maintaining pre-production hardware, performing various system tests, and supporting debug work. Responsibilities For Production Systems Engineer, Foundation Labs

Set up pre-production hardware for testing
Perform tests on server hardware systems and modules
Perform issue duplication and isolation
Support system debug work
Maintaining test servers and modules with latest OS, firmware, software
Assist with validation and verification of new hardware platforms
Create documentation and training materials
Clone and deploy OS images onto clients
Read and analyze failure logs
Track and manage test resources including rack, system, module, and bench
Monitor test runs and recover unresponsive clients
Test development, automation and failure analysis

Requirements For Production Systems Engineer, Foundation Labs

Linux

Python

BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering Degree
3+ years of industry experience in data center equipment testing
Experience working in Linux Systems Environments
Experience with server hardware testing
Skill to gather, process, and summarize test data and results
Experience with setting up test beds for SI testing
Experience with system function, stability, and power consumption testing
Experience with stress test tool with CPU, memory, storage, and I/O subsystem
Experience with server BMC
Must remain in role in India for minimum 24 months before transfer eligibility
