The Meta Reality Labs Research Team is seeking experienced interns passionate about groundbreaking research in audio signal processing, machine learning, and audio-visual learning for AR/VR applications. The audio team focuses on creating virtual sounds indistinguishable from reality and redefining human hearing. Projects include multimodal representation learning, audio-visual scene analysis, egocentric audio-visual learning, multi-sensory speech enhancement, and acoustic activity localization.
Responsibilities include: • Researching, modeling, designing, developing, and testing novel audio and speech processing algorithms • Collaborating with researchers and engineers across diverse disciplines • Designing and implementing novel algorithms to solve audio research problems • Conducting experimental design, implementation, and execution to evaluate new audio technologies • Communicating research agenda, progress, and results
Qualifications: • PhD (or in progress) in Computer Science, AI, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Acoustics Engineering, or related STEM field • 3+ years experience with Python, Matlab, or similar • 3+ years experience with machine learning platforms (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) • 2+ years experience building novel computational models in audio or audio-visual domains
