Meta Reality Labs brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of virtual and augmented reality, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. AR and VR will ultimately change everything about how we work, play, and connect. We are developing all the technologies needed to enable breakthrough AR glasses and VR headsets, including optics and displays, computer vision, audio, graphics, brain-computer interface, haptic interaction, eye/hand/face/body tracking, perception science, and true telepresence.
This internship is for a Research Scientist in Semiconductor Materials Science, focusing on III-V semiconductors related to microLEDs. The intern will collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners, develop characterization methods, explore relationships between measurable properties and microLED performance, and support model development through measurements. They will also present and discuss results in cross-functional forums.
The internship duration is twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks with various start dates throughout the year. Candidates should have or be in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. in a relevant technical field, with experience in optical research, characterization techniques, and drawing structure-performance relationships.
Meta offers a diverse and innovative work environment, focusing on connecting people and developing cutting-edge technologies in AR and VR. This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in semiconductor materials science and its applications in next-generation display technologies.
