Security Engineer - Investigations - i3E

Meta is seeking a Security Engineer for their Integrity, Investigations, Intelligence, and events (i3E) teams to protect users across their family of applications including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. This role focuses on investigating sophisticated threat actors, advancing investigative methods, and protecting users from various threats including criminal organizations, human trafficking, and fraud.

The position requires a unique combination of security expertise and engineering skills, with responsibilities ranging from threat hunting and complex investigations to implementing automated solutions for abuse detection and mitigation. You'll work with various data sources, including internal data, open-source intelligence, and third-party private intelligence to identify and disrupt threats.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields, strong programming skills in Python or PHP, and experience with large-scale data analysis. You'll be working on some of the most challenging and high-visibility risks facing Meta, requiring both technical prowess and investigative acumen.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $117,000 to $173,000 per year, plus bonus and equity opportunities.
