As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) within the new Technical Audit team at Meta, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality software to support all product lines. SDETs are composed of one part software engineer, one part privacy and security engineer, and one part program manager. You'll be responsible for building and executing automated testing and infrastructure across multiple products and platforms. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented engineer with strong cross-functional skills who has a passion for building great software products and improving engineering and testing efficiency. You will ensure the release of all Meta's products uphold and exceed Privacy standards, not just for today but also for the future.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing automated test frameworks and tools
- Managing contingent engineers to ensure high output volume
- Partnering with infrastructure and product engineering teams
- Independently driving goals as a project manager
- Driving a culture of quality within Meta's Tech Audit and Centralized Privacy organization
- Designing and implementing high-quality automated tests to verify privacy compliance and release readiness
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in developing and analyzing technical automated test frameworks and infrastructure
- 2+ years work experience coding in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ (or equivalent language)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience building automation strategies and estimating test efforts
- 2+ years experience in assisting in the planning, tracking, and control of test environments and data
- Experience writing test automation code and frameworks for complex multi-system scenarios
- Experience with various automation testing types
- Experience in reviewing QA procedures, eliminating redundancies, and improving efficiency
