Software Engineer, Front End/UIE

Meta is seeking a Software Engineer, Front End/UIE to develop, design, create, modify, and/or test mobile and desktop web software applications or systems. The role involves architecting efficient and reusable front-end systems, implementing features and user interfaces to optimize performance, and collaborating with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing complex web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Optimizing front-end performance and resolving scalability issues
• Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver user-facing products
• Identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues
• Working on diverse problems requiring data analysis and evaluation
• Demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods for obtaining solutions
• Understanding developer challenges and developing solutions to reduce effort
• Resolving ambiguity in product requirements through experience and research
• Scoping large technical problems and coordinating execution across teams

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, with experience in front-end development using React, Vue, or Angular, as well as knowledge of browser APIs, debugging, and backend development using Hack and GraphQL. This position offers the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere in the US.
