Meta is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer in a technical leadership position to join their engineering team. This role represents a unique opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and massive social data and prediction problems that exist on the web.

The position combines technical expertise in machine learning with leadership responsibilities, requiring someone who can both develop sophisticated ML solutions and guide teams toward impactful outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring substantial industry experience working on various classification and optimization problems, including payment fraud, click-through rate prediction, click-fraud detection, search ranking, text/sentiment classification, collaborative filtering/recommendation, and spam detection.

As a Technical Leader in Machine Learning at Meta, you'll be responsible for driving the technical direction of your team while developing highly scalable classifiers and tools. You'll work with cutting-edge machine learning technologies and adapt them to modern parallel environments, including distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU systems. The role requires both technical depth and leadership acumen, as you'll be expected to mentor senior engineers and influence cross-functional teams.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $213,000 to $293,000 per year, plus bonus and equity opportunities. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of programming experience and 8+ years in machine learning or related fields.
