Description For Technical Program Manager, Privacy

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with extensive experience in Product or Platform development within the domains of privacy or security across all layers of the tech stack. This role will drive the development of complex distributed systems that safeguard the information shared by billions of users.

The ideal candidate will play a key leadership role on the Privacy and Data Practices team, working collaboratively to define, manage, and drive cross-functional programs and technologies that enable product and infrastructure teams across Meta to deliver their products and features with privacy at the forefront. They will leverage data and foresight to shape long-term strategies, driving planning and prioritization for the teams they support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Defining, building, and leading cross-functional programs to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Identifying and resolving cross-functional problems in technical domains
  • Leading execution and delivery of solutions to resolve business problems
  • Driving and influencing technical and product strategy
  • Defining and delivering technical requirements
  • Building strong partnerships across a broad range of partners and organizations

The ideal candidate will have a passion for privacy and/or security, with the ability to bring strong thought leadership, technical expertise, and execution excellence to major initiatives. This role will result in robust infrastructure that scales to the next billion people worldwide.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Privacy

  • Define, build and lead cross-functional programs to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional problems in technical domains

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Privacy

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management
  • Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams
  • Experience in communication and working with technical management teams
  • Organizational, coordination and multitasking experience
  • Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving for large-scale systems
  • Experience establishing and maintaining work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams
