The role involves working with world-class development teams across OS, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Speech processing to create experiences that engage billions of people. Responsibilities include bootstrapping programs in ambiguous areas, managing cross-org dependencies, driving technical excellence, and establishing expertise in the technology area. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of relevant experience, a B.S. in Computer Science or related field, and strong leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, XR Tech
- Bootstrap programs in ambiguous areas, managing multiple cross-org or cross-company interdependencies
- Drive cross-org and portfolio partners to own and execute several large-scale workstreams
- Understand technology requirements, roadmap, dependencies, and develop plans for mitigating risks
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership and thought leadership across multiple organizations
- Establish expertise in the technology area, becoming the go-to escalation point
- Resolve intra-org issues and drive solutions to cross-org issues
- Drive technical excellence within the team
- Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and development processes
Requirements For Technical Program Manager, XR Tech
- 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience leading technology investments across multiple products or product families from innovation to delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead execution across highly ambiguous, complex products and programs
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking, and thought leadership
- Experience in leading complex execution across multiple teams in different time zones
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
- Excellent communication skills
