They're seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to spearhead their camera software stack development, particularly for their innovative PolarID product - a cutting-edge polarizing camera enabling secure and affordable face unlock for smartphones.

You'll lead the technical architecture and development of camera-centric applications, working with mobile SoCs like Snapdragon, and optimizing performance across various processors (CPU, GPU, DSP).

Responsibilities For Staff Software Development Engineer - Cameras

  • Lead and define roadmap for cutting-edge camera software stack
  • Own PolarID's system architecture and lead software development on mobile SoCs
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery
  • Lead software team developing camera applications, image processing algorithms, and low-level drivers
  • Collaborate with various teams to optimize system cost, latency, power consumption, and performance

Requirements For Staff Software Development Engineer - Cameras

Linux
  • BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field
  • 5+ years developing real time C/C++ software under Android or Linux
  • 2+ years of technical project leadership and system architecture
  • Experience developing simple and well-documented APIs
  • Comfortable with modern CI/CD pipelines and remote, log-based debugging
  • 4+ years working with image sensors and image processing pipelines (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of optics, camera hardware, and image processing pipelines (preferred)
