Responsibilities For (Remote) Sr. Backend Developer (Contract-to-hire)
- Lead backend development for a media platform, ensuring robust and scalable architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and project managers
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs, microservices and server side logic
- Optimize performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
- Work closely with product teams to scope features, identify blockers, and ensure on-time delivery
- Recommend frameworks and libraries and implement as needed
- Independently attempt to solve problems
- Learn new technologies, frameworks, languages, as new projects require
Requirements For (Remote) Sr. Backend Developer (Contract-to-hire)
- 5+ Years of Node.JS experience
- 5+ Years of Typescript experience
- 5+ Years of Docker experience
- 5+ Years of ECS experience
- Experience creating and implementing architectural diagrams
- Experience with system design
- Experience with relational databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with MikroORM or similar ORM (preferred)
- Experience with multi threaded systems (preferred)
- Experience with microservice architecture (preferred)
