Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

  • Work closely with product management, design, and internal teams to understand customer needs and ensure quality
  • Establish and evolve formal test processes using industry-accepted best practices
  • Work in all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics and developing new tools
  • Act as point of contact for testing aspects of releases
  • Serve as an advisor to other engineers on software quality
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures
  • Perform deep technical and root cause testing and analysis

Requirements For Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

  • Relevant industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of software test methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid scripting knowledge
  • Solid understanding of testing in CI/CD pipeline
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
