Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
- Work closely with product management, design, and internal teams to understand customer needs and ensure quality
- Establish and evolve formal test processes using industry-accepted best practices
- Work in all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics and developing new tools
- Act as point of contact for testing aspects of releases
- Serve as an advisor to other engineers on software quality
- Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures
- Perform deep technical and root cause testing and analysis
Requirements For Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
- Relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge of software test methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Solid scripting knowledge
- Solid understanding of testing in CI/CD pipeline
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
