You'll lead a team of security analysts and engineers, working closely with Microsoft Gaming and Security teams to protect the development of one of gaming's most beloved franchises.
The position requires a blend of technical security expertise and leadership skills, overseeing security operations for game development using Unreal Engine. You'll be responsible for everything from Identity & Access Management to Cloud Security, ensuring robust protection of the studio's creative assets and development infrastructure.
As a leader, you'll manage both full-time employees and contingent staff, driving security initiatives that support the studio's innovative game development processes. The role offers a unique opportunity to apply enterprise-level security practices in the gaming industry, working with cutting-edge technology and creative teams.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of security experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for gaming technology. You'll work in a hybrid environment (up to 50% work from home) in Redmond, with competitive compensation ranging from $117,200 to $229,200 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineering Lead
- Engage with Leadership team, presenting security proposals and initiatives
- Serve as Product Owner for the security team
- Envision and architect high-quality distributed services and security infrastructure
- Partner with Microsoft Gaming and Microsoft Security teams
- Lead and coach a team of security professionals
- Drive proactive security measures across cloud, onsite and partner environments
- Develop detailed roadmaps for engineering teams
- Design process and Operational Improvement for Security Compliance Programs
- Provide strategic Cloud Security Architecture guidance
Requirements For Senior Security Engineering Lead
- 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, cyber security, SOC detection, SIEM, and IT operations
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams
- 3+ years leading a security function
- 5+ years of experience in operational security
- Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, OSCP preferred)
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Technical skills in network security, cryptography, identity management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
