Description For Gameplay Engineer Intern

Rare, an Xbox Game Studio, is seeking a Gameplay Engineering Intern for a 12-month placement. This role offers a diverse experience in game development, working alongside industry experts. Interns will contribute to various aspects of game creation, including networked gameplay, artificial intelligence, and user interfaces. The position involves hands-on experience in implementing game features, solving engineering problems, and collaborating with designers, artists, and testers. Previous interns have worked on AI abilities, accessibility features, player items, environmental threats, and story quests. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of computer programming, experience with C, C++, or C#, and a passion for game development. The internship provides opportunities for learning, mentoring, and personal development in a welcoming studio environment.
