Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a passionate Architect Engineer (AE) Regional Sourcing Manager to lead the construction services supply chain across the EMEA region. This role is crucial in supporting multi-billion dollar datacenter construction projects and requires expertise in construction procurement and category management.

The position involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for construction professional services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with Microsoft's standards. Responsibilities For Architect Engineer (AE) Regional Sourcing Manager

  • Develop sourcing strategies for construction professional services categories
  • Establish sourcing strategies with internal stakeholders
  • Manage sourcing, assessment, and onboarding of potential new suppliers
  • Own the RFI/RFP process for regional framework agreements
  • Oversee supplier performance and compliance
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews
  • Develop and maintain category management plans
  • Manage contract drafting, negotiation, and execution
  • Report key performance metrics and category health to Leadership Team

Requirements For Architect Engineer (AE) Regional Sourcing Manager

Kubernetes
  • Master's Degree OR Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain
  • Experience in Commercial/Contractual Construction Role, Project Management, Supply Chain
  • Experience working in cross functional team environment on dynamic large scale capital programs
  • Extensive experience with direct procurement in the construction industry
  • Strong commercial understanding of construction services categories
  • Knowledge of construction projects and teams
  • Technical ability to review contracts and set up sourcing plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check
