Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience Platform (CXP) team is seeking an Azure Customer Engineer to join their global Azure Engineering Support organization. This role is crucial in transforming Microsoft Cloud customers into fans through engineering-led support experiences. As an Azure Customer Engineer, you'll be the primary support and engineering contact for customers, handling complex technical problems and supporting key Azure projects. The position offers up to 100% remote work with 0-25% travel requirements.

The role combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, requiring you to work closely with field teams and Azure engineering teams. You'll be responsible for proactive customer engagement, strategic project execution, and critical problem resolution in a 24x7x365 global support environment. Responsibilities For Azure Customer Engineer

  • Proactive Customer Engagement – Understand and support key solutions, workloads, and priorities on Azure
  • Strategic Project Execution – Own project-level Azure issues and drive resolution
  • Critical Problem Resolution – Lead Azure Support in 24x7x365 global support environment
  • Case Ownership – Own customer support cases and deliver great support experience
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Ownership – Drive timely delivery of quality root cause analysis
  • Engineering Engagement – Champion product feedback and feature requests to improve Azure resiliency

Requirements For Azure Customer Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years software industry experience
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Citizenship verification required due to government customer requirements
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Experience in product/service/project/program management or support delivery
