Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This role is crucial in managing the development and construction of mission-critical facilities and data centers. The position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction management, particularly in data center projects.

The ideal candidate will lead teams in deploying large-scale campus and regional delivery solutions, managing complex construction projects while ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and budget constraints. They will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including vendors, cost managers, and contractors, while maintaining project schedules and deliverables.

Responsibilities For Construction Manager

  • Manage team's deployment of large-scale campus and regional delivery solutions
  • Analyze and recommend delivery options based on best practices
  • Manage day-to-day coordination with vendors, cost managers, and contractors
  • Ensure project progress reports including scope, schedule, resources, and budget
  • Review and maintain safe worksite adherence to organizational and global safety policies
  • Establish and communicate risk mitigation goals
  • Lead day-to-day management of vendors
  • Manage resources/talents assigned to the project
  • Ensure CSA and MEP works meet quality standards and comply with regulations
  • Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting and handover to operations team

Requirements For Construction Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years related experience
  • Knowledge of ISO accredited Safety and Quality Management Systems
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in Mission Critical Facilities
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or trade
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • 10+ years people management experience
  • 10+ years project management experience
  • 12+ years experience working on data center projects
