Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division is seeking a Critical Environment Field Service Engineer to join their datacenter operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining and operating Microsoft's vast infrastructure of over 100 datacenters and 1 million servers worldwide, supporting services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses across 90+ countries.

Responsibilities For Critical Environment Field Service Engineer

  • Ensure compliance with data center business units and service-level policies
  • Maximize Critical Environment (CE) availability in leased Datacenters
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Reduce high-impact and human-error Critical Environment incidents
  • Support Datacenter's Emergency Preparedness and Response plans
  • Coordinate and supervise CE audits and compliance verification
  • Manage and analyze Power/Temperature/Relative Humidity and SLA monitoring
  • Work with regional and global peers to share best practices
  • Provide mentorship across data centers

Requirements For Critical Environment Field Service Engineer

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND industry experience in a datacenter or critical environment facility
  • Experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (UPS, Generator, AHU)
  • Experience working on large scale Critical Environment projects
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
