Description For Critical Environment Senior Electrical Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team responsible for powering Microsoft's global cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial in maintaining and operating the company's vast network of more than 200 datacenters across 32 countries, supporting services used by over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical electrical systems in Microsoft's datacenters. The role combines technical expertise with operational leadership, requiring both hands-on engineering work and strategic thinking. You'll work with state-of-the-art infrastructure while focusing on environmental sustainability and optimization.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $117,200 to $229,200 per year (with higher ranges for SF and NYC areas), along with comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, and parental leave. Requirements For Critical Environment Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years
