Description For Data Center CE Field Service Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division is seeking a CE Field Service Engineer to join their world-class data center operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure that powers Microsoft's global cloud services, including Azure, Office 365, Xbox, and more.

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical environment systems across Microsoft's vast network of data centers. Responsibilities For Data Center CE Field Service Engineer

  • Ensure compliance with data center business units and service-level policies
  • Maximize Critical Environment (CE) availability in leased Datacenters
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Reduce high-impact and human-error Critical Environment incidents
  • Support Datacenter's Emergency Preparedness and Response plans
  • Coordinate and supervise CE audits and compliance verification
  • Manage and analyze Power/Temperature/Relative Humidity and SLA monitoring
  • Work with regional and global peers to share best practices
  • Provide mentorship across data centers

Requirements For Data Center CE Field Service Engineer

Linux
  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ year(s) industry experience in a datacenter or critical environment facility
  • OR 3+ years industry experience and college course work
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
