Description For Datacenter Integration Sourcing Manager

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Datacenter Integration Sourcing Manager to lead critical sourcing and execution of services and equipment for cloud infrastructure. This role is part of the strategic Supply Chain team, responsible for managing multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with the team behind Microsoft's cloud operations, managing over 200 web portals and online services worldwide.

The ideal candidate will bring 5-6+ years of experience in supply chain, data analytics, or operations, with strong commercial understanding of datacenter industry. You'll be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring policy compliance across the sub-region. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can navigate complex stakeholder relationships while driving concrete results.

Working in a hybrid model with up to 50% work from home flexibility, you'll be based in Auckland, New Zealand. Responsibilities For Datacenter Integration Sourcing Manager

  • Define and execute sourcing strategies for complex projects
  • Manage RFI and RFP processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and manage supplier scorecard criteria
  • Manage contract and price negotiation activities
  • Ensure policy compliance and manage sourcing issues
  • Execute contracts and monitor impact of change orders
  • Develop pricing and negotiation strategies
  • Lead supplier onboarding processes and maintain supplier relationships

Requirements For Datacenter Integration Sourcing Manager

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field
  • 5-6+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
  • Knowledge of Datacenter industry and mission critical experience
  • Experience with managing regional tenders and RFP exercises
  • Experience with ERP procurement systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
