Microsoft's Semi-custom and Central IP Silicon (SCIPS) team is seeking a passionate Silicon Verification Engineer to join their innovative hardware development efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on critical IP development for various Microsoft products, from Xbox gaming systems to Azure cloud infrastructure.

The position involves developing systematic and efficient methods to detect hardware/software vulnerabilities, working with cross-discipline teams to create verification environments and test cases for IP designs. You'll be at the forefront of custom silicon development, contributing to cutting-edge consumer products and enterprise solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, and C/C++ programming, along with a solid understanding of chip architecture and verification principles. Responsibilities For Design Verification Engineer

  • Plan verification of complex design IP with architecture and design engineers
  • Create constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM
  • Develop tests using UVM or C/C++
  • Analyse and debug test failures
  • Write functional coverage for stimulus and corner cases
  • Close coverage to meet tape out requirements

Requirements For Design Verification Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR 4+ years technical engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience in developing test plans, simulation environments, and debugging
  • Proficient in SystemVerilog, C/C++, and scripting languages
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Knowledge of verification principles, testbenches, stimulus generation
  • Experience with UVM environments
  • Understanding of chip and computer architecture
