Microsoft's Windows & Devices team is seeking a Device Validation Engineer II to join their Windows Silicon & System Integration team. This role is crucial in delivering iconic end-to-end products across hardware, software, and services. The position involves validating and benchmarking breakthrough technological aspects across the Windows ecosystem for cutting-edge silicon.

The role combines hardware and software expertise, requiring skills in silicon development, validation, and support. You'll be working on prototyping new designs, validating and debugging hardware features, SOC bring-up, and developing automated regression test suites. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while collaborating with architects, hardware design teams, and software teams.

Responsibilities For Device Validation Engineer II

  • Prototyping new designs, validating, debugging new hardware features
  • SOC bring up, debugging device drivers, performance analysis
  • Developing automated regression test suites
  • Develop and modify quality validation plans, procedures, and software tools
  • Collaborate with internal groups and quality teams for engineering releases
  • Leverage external service partners for testing and quality characterizations
  • Drive the resolution of engineering release blockers

Requirements For Device Validation Engineer II

JavaScript
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
  • 3+ years experience as a Software Development Engineer, or Test or Validation Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience developing and/or testing products across multiple release cycles
  • 3+ years of experience programming or validating using C, C++, C#, PowerShell, Python, Visual Basic, JavaScript
  • Professional experience in debugging and validating device drivers on Windows
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
