You'll define design approaches, technical specifications, and parameters for devices, ensuring that designs and specifications document test requirements that account for customer use scenarios. The role involves selecting materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability, potentially working with suppliers to select optimal materials and components for devices. You'll develop test plans and test cases, and may direct support personnel or other engineers in the preparation and execution of design testing or prototype fabrication.
