Description For Hardware Verification Engineer

Microsoft's Semi-custom and Central IP Silicon (SCIPS) team is seeking a Hardware Verification Engineer to join their innovative environment. This role involves developing critical IPs for various Microsoft products, from Xbox to Azure cloud servers. The position offers a competitive salary range of $98,300 - $208,800 (varying by location) and requires 5+ years of experience in hardware verification.

You'll be responsible for creating test environments, developing verification plans, and ensuring the quality of hardware designs. Responsibilities For Hardware Verification Engineer

  • Plan verification of complex design IP with architecture and design engineers
  • Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM
  • Develop tests using UVM or C/C++
  • Analyse and debug test failures
  • Identify and write functional coverage for stimulus and corner cases
  • Close coverage to plug verification holes and meet tape out requirements

Requirements For Hardware Verification Engineer

Python
  • 5+ years of related technical engineering experience or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience or Master's degree with 1+ year experience
  • 3+ years of experience in developing test plans, creating simulation environments, developing tests, and debugging
  • Experience in Verilog/VHDL, C/C++, Python, Ruby or Perl
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
