Description For High Performance Computing Support Engineer

Microsoft is seeking a High Performance Computing (HPC) Support Engineer to join their Customer Experience & Success organization. This part-time role (24 hours/week) offers flexible work arrangements with up to 100% remote work possibility. The position involves supporting Azure's HPC VM SKUs, InfiniBand, CycleCloud, HPC Pack, and Azure Managed Lustre File System. As part of a team of 18,000+ employees worldwide, you'll work to empower customers through differentiated experiences using Microsoft's products and services. The role requires strong technical expertise in HPC environments, networking protocols, and cluster management. You'll collaborate with engineering teams, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to product improvements. Requirements For High Performance Computing Support Engineer

Linux
  • 3+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or IT experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 1+ year experience
  • Experience supporting HPC in a Linux or Windows environment
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and InfiniBand
  • Experience with HPC clusters management
  • Familiarity with HPC schedulers and MPI libraries
